Senior Project Manager - Buildings

A unique opportunity to for a Senior Project Manager take ownership of a major buildings package on one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes. Joining at ECI / PCSA stage means you will have the opportunity to shape the buildings package, rather than simply inherit it.

You will have genuine influence over design, procurement, sequencing and the delivery strategy. The buildings package will encompass a Maintenance Building, a Control Centre, a Welfare and office facility and various other ancillary buildings. The overall project is estimated at £800M. Construction is planned to complete in 2031.

This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, commercial awareness and the ability to drive performance across multiple contractors and technical disciplines.

You will be responsible for:<br />Leading the safe, timely and commercially successful delivery of the buildings package<br />Managing design development, construction, commissioning and handover<br />Coordinating interfaces across civils, structures, building services, rail systems and operational teams<br />Managing programme, cost, risk, change and package performance<br />Leading contractors, consultants and internal project teams<br />Maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders<br />Driving quality, buildability and technical assurance throughout delivery<br />Identifying issues early and implementing practical solutions<br />About you<br />Be educated to degree standard in a construction related subject You will have a strong track record of delivering major building packages, preferably gained in complex Infrastructure, Manufacturing or Industrial sectors<br />Be comfortable operating within a large project team, managing competing priorities and taking full accountability for delivery<br />Have an appreciation of the NEC form of contract, although this is a nice to have, not an essential.<br />On offer is a salary of 90,(Apply online only),000 per annum, a car allowance, paid travel, private medical insurance, pension, share saver scheme etc This is an opportunity to lead a high-profile package, influence how the project is delivered and leave a lasting mark on one of the UK’s most important infrastructure schemes.
