The PACS Site Coordinator serves as the site-level point of contact for all imaging IT systems, ensuring seamless workflow across scheduling, image acquisition, CAD/analysis, dictation, and archival systems. The role owns day-to-day system uptime, end-user support, vendor escalation, and coordination between radiology, IT, and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and troubleshoot PACS and connected clinical application workflows daily

• Serve as first-level support for end users (radiologists, technologists, front-desk staff) across scheduling, RIS, PACS, CAD, and dictation systems

• Coordinate with vendors (Visage, Merge, Hologic, iCAD, Volpara, Laurel Bridge, 3M/Mmodal, Medinformatix) for upgrades, downtime, and issue escalation

• Ensure image and data integrity across the workflow chain: scheduling → acquisition → CAD → dictation → PACS → sharing

• Support onboarding and training of staff on site applications

• Maintain documentation of workflows, downtime procedures, and escalation paths

• Act as cross-tower connect between onshore clinical teams, offshore support teams, and Infrastructure (Infra) teams — driving unified ownership of incidents, changes, and maintenance windows across towers

• Represent the site in cross-functional bridge calls, ensuring offshore and Infra teams have the clinical context needed to prioritize and resolve issues quickly

Experience 

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on, hands-on-keyboard experience across the listed clinical applications (PACS, RIS, CAD/Mammography, Dictation, and Image Sharing systems) in a live clinical environment

• Experience with PACS/RIS environments in a clinical setting, preferably breast imaging/mammography

• Working knowledge of DICOM, HL7, and imaging workflow integration

• Strong troubleshooting and vendor-coordination skills

• Demonstrated experience working in a cross-tower model — coordinating with offshore support and Infrastructure teams on shared incident and change ownership

• Handling the hand on experiences with Radiologist problem solving on end-end workflow
