Job Description

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Contract Litigation Docketing Specialist to support its high-volume California automotive litigation practice. This position is fully remote and will work closely with the firm's Litigation Docketing Department to provide accurate calendaring and deadline management for complex litigation matters.

Responsibilities

  • Review court filings, notices, legal correspondence, and attorney requests.
  • Calculate and docket litigation deadlines in accordance with federal, state, local, and agency rules.
  • Enter and maintain deadlines within the firm's docketing system.
  • Perform court rule research and verify deadline calculations.
  • Monitor and communicate deadlines to attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff.
  • Maintain accurate calendaring records and case information.
  • Ensure compliance with firm docketing procedures, quality standards, and workflow requirements.
  • Assist with high-volume California litigation matters and related docketing support.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of progressively responsible litigation docketing experience in a law firm environment.
  • Experience using litigation docketing and calendaring systems.
  • Strong understanding of court rules, deadline calculation, and litigation calendaring.
  • Ability to independently analyze court documents and identify applicable deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads and multiple competing deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Milana.
  • Experience with CompuLaw Vision.
  • California state and federal court litigation experience.
  • Experience supporting large-scale litigation teams.

Work Arrangement

  • 100% remote.
  • Contract position.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
