This is an on-site role based at our office, with a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote per week.

Join our Development Team and help drive the digital transformation of our proprietary administration systems. You'll design, architect, and implement solutions that power our customer-facing platforms, from the core database to the user interface. We're looking for passionate problem-solvers with a knack for creativity, agility, and clean execution.

AI is now woven into how our team works every day. We use Claude and similar tools to move faster, and we care a great deal about doing it well. We want people who can wield these tools productively while keeping the resulting code safe, well-understood, and maintainable over the long haul. Knowing how to prompt is easy. Knowing what to keep, what to rewrite, and what to never ship is the skill we value.

In this role, you'll:

• Own the quality and efficiency of backend code on the .NET Core stack (C#, WebAPI, SQL).
\n
• Create integration services that keep information flowing in real time for customers and internal stakeholders.
\n
• Build user-centric front-end applications (we use Angular).
\n
• Use AI coding tools like Claude to accelerate your work, with sound judgment about correctness, security, and maintainability.
\n
• Ensure code meets KBA's development standards and security protocols (JIRA, Git).
\n
• Continuously sharpen your skills and spot opportunities to streamline how we work.
\n

While AI can handle a lot of routine coding, we care more about how you think, how you evaluate what a tool produces, and how you keep a codebase healthy. Familiarity with our stack is a plus:

• Microsoft technologies (.NET, SQL Server, C#)

• Front-end fundamentals: HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and a JavaScript framework like Angular
\n
• Hands-on experience using Claude or similar AI coding assistants in real projects
\n
• Experience in actuarial sciences, financial services, or spreadsheet macros (nice to have, not required)
