Job Duties: Design, develop, troubleshoot and/or test/QA software. As a member of the software engineering division, apply knowledge of software architecture to perform tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems according to provided design specifications. Build enhancements within an existing software architecture and/or suggest improvements to the architecture. May telecommute. (385.35868)

Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field followed by 10 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or in a Software Developer-related occupation. Position requires:

• Demonstrated strong grasp of system design fundamentals and distributed systems architectural best practices;
• Demonstrated ability to write code in Java, or similar OO languages;
• Demonstrated ability architecting and building large scale cloud services;
• Experience with web application development using microservices frameworks;
• Experience with containers and container orchestration technologies: Kubernetes and Docker;
• Demonstrated ability to influence full system architecture;
• Experience with identity and security technologies like OAuth2, OIDC or SAML;
• Developing and shipping enterprise distributed or cloud native systems; and
• Experience with CI/CD technologies: Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.

Qualifications

Provide leadership and expertise in the development of new products/services/processes, frequently operating at the leading edge of technology. Recommends and justifies major changes to existing products/services/processes. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 8 or more years of software engineering or related experience.
