Business Analyst – Insurance Domain

Job Title: Business Analyst (Insurance domain)

Experience Required: 8–12 years
Compensation: $60 - $65/hr

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

·  Conduct requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder interviews.

·  Understand As-Is and To-Be business processes and identify gaps.

·  Translate business requirements into:

o  Business Requirements Documents (BRDs)

o  Functional Requirements / Specifications

o  User Stories

o  Acceptance Criteria

o  Process flows and business rules.

·  Perform requirement decomposition and maintain end-to-end requirement traceability.

·  Work with Product Owners and business stakeholders to prioritize the backlog.

Technology / Platform

·  Work with technical teams to define requirements for REST/API integrations, data flows and downstream/upstream systems.

·  Basic understanding of data mapping and SQL for data validation is desirable.

Agile Delivery

·  Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including:

o  Backlog refinement

o  Sprint planning

o  Daily stand-ups

o  Sprint reviews

o  Retrospectives.

·  Create and maintain user stories and acceptance criteria.

·  Collaborate with developers and QA throughout the sprint.

·  Support defect triage and requirement clarification.

Testing & Implementation

·  Review test scenarios and test cases prepared by QA.

·  Define UAT scenarios based on business requirements.

·  Coordinate with business users during UAT.

·  Support defect analysis, resolution and retesting.

·  Participate in production deployment and post-production validation.

·  Prepare user documentation and support business adoption.

The salary range for this position takes into consideration a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, level of experience, applicable office location, training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

The salary range displays the minimum and maximum salary targets for this position across all U.S. locations, and the range has not been adjusted for any specific state differentials. It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. Final compensation decisions will depend on the unique facts and circumstances of each candidate.
