Job Description

Job Summary
The Licensed Asbestos Supervisor is responsible for managing and supervising licensed asbestos removal projects to ensure compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and other relevant health, safety, and environmental standards. The role requires leadership, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage teams while ensuring the safe and efficient completion of projects.

This role is open to positions in the North East, Yorkshire and North West regions.

Daily Responsibility

  • Ensuring all tasks adhere to approved risk assessments and method statements.

  • Supervise the setup and maintenance of enclosures, negative pressure units (NPUs), airlocks, and decontamination units.

  • Conduct daily site inspections to ensure compliance with legal, client, and company standards.

  • Ensure full compliance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012, HSE guidelines (e.g., HSG247), and company policies.

  • Maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, risk assessments, method statements, and waste consignment notes.

Experience & Skills

  • Strong ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of asbestos operatives.

  • Capable of providing clear instructions and resolving on-site conflicts effectively.

  • Comprehensive understanding of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 and relevant HSE guidelines (e.g., HSG247).

  • Expertise in asbestos removal techniques, including the setup and maintenance of enclosures, airlocks, and NPUs (negative pressure units).
