Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Google Cloud Platform Data Engineer with strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and enterprise data engineering. The candidate will be responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines used for analytics, reporting, and business applications.

Mandatory Skills

• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Google Cloud Platform experience
• Strong experience with BigQuery
• Experience with Dataproc
• Experience with Cloud Composer / Airflow
• Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Advanced PySpark and Python
• Strong Spark SQL experience
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines
• Experience with Data Quality, Data Validation, and Reconciliation
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling
• Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization
• Experience with Git, GitHub, Jira, and CI/CD

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build data solutions using BigQuery, Dataproc, Cloud Composer, and GCS.
• Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes using Python, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
• Implement data quality checks, validation, and reconciliation processes.
• Troubleshoot and optimize data pipelines for performance and reliability.
• Work with business stakeholders, architects, and data governance teams.
• Participate in requirements gathering, solution design, development, testing, and deployment.
• Provide production support and resolve data pipeline issues.
• Follow Agile development practices and use Git/GitHub, Jira, and CI/CD tools.
