We are seeking a motivated Civil Engineer (Entry-Level) to join our team in Puerto Rico. This position is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in civil engineering while contributing to a variety of infrastructure projects. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and project managers, gaining hands-on experience in design, analysis, field support, and project documentation.

This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring civil engineer to gain practical experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to meaningful infrastructure projects in Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Build analytic and design skills through support of civil engineering projects.
  • Conduct engineering design tasks under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
  • Prepare designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings.
  • Collect and analyze data to support engineering studies, design development, and project delivery.
  • Use computer software and engineering tools to solve basic engineering problems.
  • Perform work in accordance with agreed-upon budgets and schedules.
  • Support preparation of technical reports, specifications, and project documentation.
  • Assist with field work such as site visits, observations, inspections, sampling, and data collection as required.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams to support design and construction efforts.
  • Participate in project meetings and communicate progress to senior staff as needed.

Working Style

  • Work is performed under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Assignments may involve both office-based design work and occasional field activities.
  • The role requires adherence to quality standards, project timelines, and safety practices.

Minimum requirements: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • Strong interest in civil infrastructure design, analysis, and field work.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with civil engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, or similar tools is preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and grow professionally in a consulting or project-based environment.

    Referred requirements

    • Internship, co-op, or academic project experience in civil engineering.
    • Exposure to roadways, drainage, water/wastewater, site development, transportation, or related infrastructure projects.
