Salary: AUD 129 018 Annual Gross.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and own the enterprise Quality Engineering transformation roadmap, including automation, AI adoption, DevOps integration, and quality governance.
  • Establish enterprise-wide automation architecture, standards, reusable frameworks, best practices, and governance models across programs.
  • Design scalable automation solutions for UI, API, database, integration, ServiceNow, cloud, mobile, and enterprise applications.
  • Drive AI-powered Quality Engineering initiatives, including AI-assisted test design, test asset generation, intelligent test optimisation, defect triaging, impact analysis, and predictive quality insights.
  • Lead DevOps and continuous testing integration across Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and other pipeline platforms.
  • Define quality gates, release validation mechanisms, observability practices, engineering metrics, and executive quality dashboards.
  • Assess, recommend, and standardise tools and technologies across the testing lifecycle to improve efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with Test Data Management and Test Environment Management teams to integrate automation, TDM, and environment readiness into the continuous testing journey.
  • Lead architecture reviews, automation maturity assessments, governance forums, and engineering design reviews.
  • Mentor automation architects and engineering teams while driving innovation pilots, ROI tracking, and enterprise-wide adoption of successful AI and automation solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 12+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Test Automation Architecture, DevOps transformation, and enterprise testing governance.
  • Extensive experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale automation frameworks across UI, API, database, cloud, mobile, and integration testing.
  • Strong hands on expertise in automation tools and technologies such as Playwright, REST Assured, Postman, Karate, ReadyAPI, SOAP UI, and BDD frameworks.
  • Strong programming and scripting experience using Java, Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar technologies.
  • Experience in data testing, including SQL/NoSQL validation, ETL testing, backend data verification, data reconciliation, and database automation.
  • Hands on experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Bitbucket Pipelines, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Experience implementing AI-powered Quality Engineering solutions, including GenAI assisted testing, self healing automation, test generation, impact analysis, and predictive quality analytics.
  • Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, engineering metrics, quality dashboards, ROI tracking, and automation coverage measurement.
  • Experience leading large scale transformation programs, Automation COE/TCOE initiatives, architecture governance, and enterprise tool standardisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, leadership, communication, executive presentation, and team mentoring skills.
