Job Description

THIS IS ONLY W2 ROLE.
Job role: Python Developer with SQL expertise
Location: Charlotte, NC (Uptown)- 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Duration: 12 months (with possible extension)
Job Description:

  • Primary requirement for this role is the SQL Server expertise
  • Project Details: This candidate will be supporting Capital Market's investment banking technology team as they look to expand their front office business.
  • This team is primarily focused on risk and capital while creating products to be used internally within the currently technology stack to fortify the current platform and make those products usable by other applications.
Duties:
  • Responsible for analyzing/interpreting the Data Modernization strategy across impacted disciplines and developing and implementing best-of-class data solutions.
  • Support of formalization of business requirements, translation of business requirements into detailed technical requirements, and participation in Agile-based workstreams via use of Jira.
  • Create more capacity from an agile perspective
Top Skills:
  • Python
  • Data engineering and/ or full stack development (I.E. PANDAS - PYTHON module/ POLAR/ ITORCH)
  • Programming experience
  • Experience building distributed applications
Familiarity with:
  • Relational DB (SQL Server, Oracle, DB2 or others)
  • SQL Server expertise
  • Micro-service architectures
  • Working with DevOps tools (Git, Jenkins, Automation Deployment toolkits)
  • Experience developing RESTFull API's
  • Agile Development environment
Nice To Have:
  • Test Driven Development (TDD) environment) - NICE TO HAVE
  • Familiarity with capital markets domain, specifically in risk disciplines such as Market and Counterparty Credit Risk (Strongly desired)
  • Knowledge and understanding of derivative products, risk management, and data modeling of financial products (Strongly desired)
  • GenAI and Agentic AI (very nice to have-desired)

Interview:
  • Round 1 - Initial screening - video call - 30 minutes
  • Round 2 - in-person - 1 hour

Pay Range: $75.00 - $85.00/hr on W2

The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
