Job Description

CIS Secure is seeking a Journeyman Data Manager for its Intrepid Solutions operating company to support a mission-critical Department of the Air Force program. This position is responsible for supporting enterprise data management, assessment processes, and analytical data exploitation in a secure operational environment. The Journeyman Data Manager will collect, organize, validate, and maintain mission-critical data that enables operational analysis and informed decision-making.

The selected candidate will work closely with Government stakeholders, analysts, and technical teams to ensure the integrity, accessibility, and usability of data supporting Mission Assurance activities. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently while supporting multiple data-driven initiatives.

Note: This position is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, validate, and maintain mission-related data from multiple Government and enterprise sources.
  • Support assessment processes through accurate data collection, management, and documentation.
  • Perform analytical exploitation of assessment data to identify trends, inconsistencies, and opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Maintain data quality through validation, normalization, and routine quality assurance activities.
  • Develop and maintain data repositories, tracking tools, reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Government personnel and cross-functional teams to obtain, verify, and update mission-critical information.
  • Support the preparation of reports, briefings, dashboards, and other analytical products used by Government leadership.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and protection of classified and sensitive information in accordance with applicable security requirements.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of data management processes, workflows, and documentation.
  • Identify data discrepancies, resolve inconsistencies, and recommend process improvements that enhance data reliability and accessibility.
  • Support enterprise data lifecycle activities, including collection, organization, maintenance, and archival of mission-related information.
  • Perform assigned duties independently while maintaining effective communication with Government representatives and program leadership.

OPERATING HOURS AND EXPECTATIONS: This is a full-time onsite position supporting operations at a Government facility within the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The selected candidate must be capable of working independently while supporting mission priorities and customer-directed schedules.

TRAVEL: Limited travel may be required to support program meetings, customer engagements, assessments, or other mission requirements.

Qualifications CLEARANCE

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance required at the time of application.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) eligibility and any customer-required accesses.
  • This position requires work within a Government-owned or controlled Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in any field.

CERTIFICATION(S)

  • No certifications are required at the time of hire.
  • In accordance with contract requirements, successful candidates may be required to obtain a Palantir Foundry Application Developer Certification following contract award.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Three (3) or more years of professional experience.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience collecting, organizing, validating, and maintaining structured data.
  • Experience supporting data collection efforts and maintaining accurate records.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience preparing reports, documentation, and analytical deliverables.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining data accuracy and integrity.
  • Experience handling sensitive or classified information in accordance with established security procedures.

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience supporting Department of Defense or Department of the Air Force programs.
  • Experience with enterprise data management platforms or data repositories.
  • Experience using business intelligence, reporting, or data visualization tools.
  • Familiarity with SQL, Power BI, Python, or similar analytical tools.
  • Experience supporting data governance, metadata management, or data quality initiatives.
  • Experience working within secure or classified environments.
  • Experience with Palantir Foundry or similar enterprise data platforms is highly desirable.
