Computer Systems Administrator I with Security Clearance

Job Description Overview

By Light is seeking a Computer Systems Administrator I to support our client at Patrick Space Force Base, FL. This position will be responsible for the administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, network infrastructure, and related systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of IT operations, system security, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux servers and workstations.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
• Implement and maintain backup and recovery solutions.
• Support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Assist with the implementation of new technologies and software.
• Provide technical support to end users and resolve IT-related issues.
• Document system configurations and procedures.
• Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in systems administration or a related IT role.
• Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of network protocols and infrastructure.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core IT services.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Secret clearance required.
