Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Architect to lead the design, migration, and automation of scalable, secure enterprise cloud environments. In this role, you will define architecture standards, deploy enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones (ALZ), lead end-to-end workload migrations to Azure, and automate infrastructure deployments using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
  • Enterprise Architecture & Landing Zones: Design, configure, and manage enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones aligned with Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) and Well-Architected Framework (WAF), covering identity, networking (hub-and-spoke/Virtual WAN), governance, and policy management.
  • Cloud Migration Execution: Architect and lead end-to-end migration strategies (rehost, refactor, replatform) for on-premises workloads, datacenters, and applications to Azure using tools such as Azure Migrate.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) & Automation: Develop production-ready, reusable Infrastructure as Code modules using Terraform to provision and manage cloud infrastructure reliably at scale.
  • CI/CD & DevOps Integration: Build and integrate automated delivery pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions for continuous infrastructure validation, deployment, and configuration.
  • Security & Governance: Implement zero-trust security postures, Azure Policy, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Key Vault secrets management, and centralized monitoring/logging via Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with application teams, infrastructure project managers, and security leads to evaluate technical requirements, produce architectural diagrams, and provide technical guidance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience: 8+ years in IT infrastructure/systems engineering with 4+ years dedicated to Azure cloud architecture and engineering.
  • Azure Landing Zones: Proven experience implementing and governing enterprise-scale Azure Landing Zones (CAF-compliant).
  • Migration Expertise: Demonstrated success planning and executing complex enterprise migrations to Microsoft Azure.
  • Terraform & Automation: Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Terraform (module development, state management, enterprise patterns), alongside scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
  • Networking & Security: Strong foundation in cloud networking (VPN, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Azure Firewall, Virtual WAN, Private Endpoints) and identity solutions (Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD).
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and documentation skills, with proven ability to work self-directed in a fully remote team environment.
