Microsoft Hyper-V to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Migration Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Migration Strategy: Assess Unitrends Cloud backup datasets and VM configurations to design an optimized OCI landing zone.
• Execution: Plan and execute data transfers into target OCI Object Storage, Block Volumes, File Storage, and Compute instances.
• Networking & Security: Provision OCI Virtual Cloud Networks (VCNs), Subnets, DRGs, VPN/FastConnect tunnels, and IAM security policies.
• Automation: Build and manage infrastructure deployments using Terraform / OCI Resource Manager.
• Validation: Run post-migration validation and integrity checks to guarantee recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO).

Candidate Requirements

• OCI Experience: 5+ years hands-on with OCI Compute, Storage, and Networking (OCI Architect Associate/Professional preferred).
• Migration Skills: Proven track record in cloud-to-cloud migrations, specifically off backup/DR platforms (Unitrends, Veeam, Datto).
• Storage Mapping: Expertise in restoring/extracting data out of Unitrends into OCI Object Storage and converting disk images into OCI Custom Images.
