Head of Conference Portfolios
London Area, United Kingdom (Hybrid)
Up to £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits
My client have a very exciting opportunity for an experienced Portfolio Manager from the conference production space who is seeking to quickly scale their own portfolio and team on a series of international conferences.
The successful candidate will: Drive the overall profitability of P&L(s) within the business. You’ll have multiple P+L responsibility to both generate new launches, as well as grow established repeat events.
Responsibilities include:
• Accountable for delivering the yearly commercial result and budgeted product load
• High level of tactical event execution with strategic direction
• Robust seed idea generation and validation to create more product opportunities.
- Commercial & Performance Ownership
- Market Intelligence & Stakeholder Engagement
Product Development & Innovation
- Recruit significant number of speakers for event.
- Take ownership of new event tracks.
- Produce content assets e.g. whitepapers, webinars.
- Identify and pilot new product features — such as advisory councils, awards, innovation showcases
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Providing mentoring, development, and performance feedback to junior producers.
- Support a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, creativity, and commercial accountability.
Attributes
• 6 + years’ experience in b2b conference programming
• Experience in the production of complex event programmes and managing a wide roster of executive speakers
• Proven success in growing event brands commercially and strategically.
- Demonstrable leadership and advanced project management skills.
- Experience of strategic portfolio development and/or new event idea validation with commercial viability
- Excellent stakeholder management with communication and persuasion skills
- A natural entrepreneur who is interested in combining research and advance business skills to have true ownership of your conference products’ financials and commercial trajectory
