Summary
- Chenega Naswik International is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Security Administrator to support mission-critical security operations at NAVSEA Headquarters. This position plays a vital role in administering and coordinating security programs, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD), Department of the Navy, and NAVSEA security requirements. The Security Administrator will work closely with government personnel, military members, and contractor staff to support personnel security processes, maintain security records, coordinate security training and briefings, and assist with day-to-day security program administration. Responsibilities
- Manage the preparation, typing, formatting, review, and routing of official Navy messages, correspondence, reports, and other mission-critical documentation to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
- Organize, maintain, and manage active files, records, and official publications while ensuring accurate document control and accessibility.
- Analyze and evaluate security program plans, policies, procedures, internal controls, and administrative processes to ensure compliance with applicable DoD, Department of the Navy, and NAVSEA requirements.
- Review and assess proposed new or modified security programs, projects, and initiatives submitted to SEA 00P, providing recommendations to support informed decision-making.
- Monitor security program performance and progress toward established objectives, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring efficient and effective execution.
- Identify program risks, issues, deficiencies, gaps, and areas for improvement; develop recommendations and corrective actions to enhance program effectiveness and compliance.
- Conduct research, gather data, and prepare reports, briefings, and correspondence to support security program management and leadership decision-making.
- Coordinate with government personnel, military members, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate communication, resolve issues, and support mission requirements.
- Plan, prioritize, execute, and monitor assigned tasks and projects while managing competing priorities and meeting established deadlines.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of security policies, procedures, and program initiatives.
- Support audits, inspections, assessments, and program reviews by maintaining accurate records and providing required documentation.
- Other duties as assigned Qualifications
- Active DoD Secret security clearance required; ability to maintain clearance throughout employment.
- One (1) to three (3) years of professional experience providing administrative, program management, security, or operational support within a Department of Defense (DoD), federal government, or similarly regulated environment.
- Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Security Management, Political Science, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Experience supporting or administering the NAVSEA Enterprise Annual Security Management (ASM) Program.
- Working knowledge of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) policies, procedures, and security program requirements.
- Experience reviewing, organizing, maintaining, and managing program documentation, records, and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and support program objectives in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with government personnel, military members, contractors, and senior leadership.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
- Knowledge of DoD administrative processes, security program operations, and government organizational structures.
- Ability to analyze information, identify issues, evaluate alternatives, and develop practical recommendations.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.
- Proficiency in SharePoint is required.
