Job Description

Client: Leading Entertainment Firm

Title: Sr. Finance Manager, Domestic Compensation Finance

Location: New York, NY 10036 Onsite

Duration: 9 months (Extension/Conversion will be based on performance)

Pay Range: ($80 - $85) on an hourly basis


Overview:



  • We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to lead financial planning and analysis for headcount and compensation across Domestic Cable Networks operations.

  • This role will own compensation forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and analysis while partnering closely with HR, Finance, Operating Groups, and senior leadership.

  • The ideal candidate is highly analytical, commercially minded, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field - Must Have

  • 6 10+ years of experience in FP&A, financial reporting, and/or accounting

  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and reporting

  • Advanced/Expert proficiency in MS Excel

  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP/IFRS and general accounting principles

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills

  • Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to ambiguity

  • Experience with headcount, workforce, salary, or compensation planning preferred

  • Experience with Ora_cle Fusion, Longview, or S A P is a plus

  • Media & Entertainment industry experience.


Responsibilities



  • Lead headcount and compensation planning for Domestic Cable Networks operations

  • Manage compensation expense forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning

  • Analyze employee costs, headcount trends, commissions, and compensation variances

  • Partner with HR and Finance to align workforce changes with financial plans

  • Provide senior leadership with actionable insights on workforce and compensation costs

  • Support monthly and quarterly financial close processes and reporting

  • Ensure accuracy of headcount and compensation data across financial systems

  • Identify opportunities to improve financial planning processes, reporting, and efficiency

  • Represent Finance on initiatives impacting headcount, compensation, and workforce analytics

  • Build strong relationships across HR, Finance, and business leadership while serving as a trusted finance business partner
