Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced
Employment Specialist for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Maryville, Tennessee. This relationship-driven role combines recruiting, staffing, customer service, inside sales, and business development to help job seekers find meaningful work while helping local employers solve workforce challenges. The ideal candidate is energetic, organized, people-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced staffing environment.
Success in this position requires strong recruiting execution, consistent outbound activity, excellent follow-through, and the ability to build lasting relationships with both candidates and local clients. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Employment Specialist manages the full candidate placement process while also supporting client development and account growth. Responsibilities include sourcing, interviewing, placing, onboarding, associate follow-up, client communication, outbound prospecting, lead generation, job-order management, and community relationship building. RECRUITING & PLACEMENT
- Recruit, interview, and place candidates in positions aligned with their skills and career goals
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified associates across multiple industries and skill levels
- Conduct candidate screens and interviews
- Coordinate client interviews
- Coordinate onboarding and assignment details
- Conduct employment verifications and reference checks
- Maintain regular communication with placed associates
- Follow up throughout assignments to support retention and long-term success
- Maintain accurate candidate and placement records
- Partner with local businesses to understand hiring needs and workforce challenges
- Gather detailed job requirements
- Develop effective recruiting and staffing solutions
- Fill job orders quickly while maintaining quality standards
- Provide consistent client updates throughout the hiring process
- Conduct client visits
- Participate in safety tours
- Attend relationship-building meetings
- Proactively support client satisfaction
- Develop repeat business and referral opportunities
- Develop relationships with existing clients and new prospects
- Make daily outbound calls
- Complete weekly marketing contacts
- Generate leads and identify new business opportunities
- Set appointments for the sales team
- Present workforce solutions to potential and existing clients
- Participate in local networking and marketing activities
- Support community engagement efforts
- Expand existing client relationships
- Help generate repeat business and referrals
- Work closely with recruiters, sales representatives, and office staff
- Share candidate and client information to support successful placements
- Support front-office and recruiting functions as needed
- Maintain organized and accurate documentation within company systems
- Contribute to a high-energy, collaborative, results-driven office environment
Bilingual English/Spanish capability is required for this search. The Employment Specialist will use strong communication skills to build relationships with candidates, associates, clients, and community contacts across the local market.
