DAHL Consulting is currently partnering with a leading organization in the property and casualty insurance industry. This established enterprise supports millions of customers nationwide and relies on innovative technology solutions to drive business operations. We are seeking a Desktop Support Technician III to provide advanced technical support, lead complex technology initiatives, and deliver exceptional service to end users in a fast-paced corporate environment.
This is a 100% onsite position in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Job Description
As a Desktop Support Technician III, you will serve as a senior-level technical resource responsible for supporting, installing, and maintaining a wide range of end-user computing technologies. This role combines hands-on technical support, project leadership, and customer service while partnering with internal stakeholders and technology teams to ensure reliable IT operations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead, plan, coordinate, and execute complex desktop support projects and technology initiatives.
  • Provide advanced technical support for computers, servers, network equipment, audio/video systems, telephony solutions, and related peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, network, and infrastructure issues within established service guidelines.
  • Install, configure, and support desktop and laptop systems, operating systems, collaboration tools, and associated technologies.
  • Document troubleshooting procedures, resolutions, and installation processes.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, leadership teams, engineering partners, and colleagues.
  • Mentor and coach team members while coordinating support activities and project deliverables.
  • Provide guidance to users regarding technology standards, equipment recommendations, and approved solutions.
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities, balancing project work with day-to-day operational support.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies related to asset management, travel expenses, and operational procedures.
  • Serve as a professional representative of the IT organization and promote a customer-focused culture.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of customer-facing end-user technology support experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience supporting desktop and laptop hardware, operating systems, and peripheral devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, networking, audio/video, telephony/VoIP, and infrastructure components.
  • Experience configuring and supporting collaboration and conferencing technologies.
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to analyze technical issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience supporting or coordinating projects.
  • Ability to effectively partner with customers and IT teams to meet service expectations and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting macOS and iOS devices.
  • Experience working in a large enterprise technology environment.
  • Knowledge of server configurations, functionality, and support.
  • Understanding of network topologies and network operating systems.
  • Experience supporting enterprise telephony/VoIP platforms.
  • Prior mentoring, coaching, or team leadership experience.
  • Project management experience within an IT support environment.
