Job Description:
An expert Neo4j Designer designs and scales enterprise graph data models, optimizes complex Cypher queries, and integrates graph technology with cloud infrastructure and AI/ML pipelines.
Job Summary
We are seeking a seasoned Expert Neo4j Designer and hands on Developer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of our large-scale graph database systems. You will shape our core data architecture, drive high-performance graph modeling, and integrate graph solutions with modern cloud environments, real-time streaming, and generative AI ecosystems.
Key Responsibilities
- Graph Modeling & Design: Translate complex business domains and relational data into optimized, highly scalable graph models.
- Hands-on Development: Write, profile, and optimize complex Cypher queries utilizing EXPLAIN/PROFILE to maintain sub-second response times across large production datasets, and troubleshoot memory configurations (JVM tuning).
- Data Integration: Design and build robust data pipelines using Kafka, Apache Spark, and Change Data Capture (CDC) frameworks for real-time and batch ingestion into Neo4j.
- AWS Infrastructure: Practical experience assisting in or leading the design of Neo4j deployments, clustering, or multi-database environments within AWS cloud ecosystems (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC networking).
- AI & Graph Data Science (GDS): Implement advanced graph analytics, machine learning features, and Knowledge Graph solutions to power RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and GenAI frameworks.
- Security & Governance: Implement enterprise IAM, role-based access control (RBAC), encryption standards, and auditing compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of total software/data engineering experience, with 4+ years specializing in Neo4j graph database architecture.
- Expert-level mastery of the Neo4j Cypher query language and performance profiling tools (EXPROFILE/EXPLAIN).
- Hands-on experience scaling production Neo4j clusters in AWS cloud ecosystems.
- Proficiency in Python, Java, or JavaScript for driver implementation and backend integration.
- Experience integrating with data streaming and big data tools (Apache Kafka, Spark).
- Strong foundation in data engineering, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Domain Exposure: Prior exposure to Healthcare Payer concepts (Provider Directories, CAQH data, Roster processing, CMS compliance etc) will be preferable.
- Experience with Neo4j Graph Data Science (GDS) library or GenAI/LLM orchestration tools (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
- Infrastructure-as-Code proficiency using Terraform and Ansible.
- Official Neo4j Certified Professional or Neo4j Certified Architect credentials.
