Role: MS Dynamics 365 Solution Architect
Location: Boston, MA - Onsite
Duration: 6+ months contract

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Solution Architect with strong expertise in Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, cloud architecture, enterprise integration, and application architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong software engineering background and experience designing scalable enterprise solutions while working closely with development, engineering, business, and architecture teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure, and related technologies.
• Provide architecture guidance across Power Apps, Power Pages, Cloud Flows, Power BI, Customer Insights/CDP, Azure, Synapse, Fabric, Snowflake, and Application Insights.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to understand existing applications, infrastructure, integrations, deployment models, and technology landscapes.
• Conduct technical research and evaluate technologies, tools, and architectural approaches to address business and technical requirements.
• Develop and support POCs to validate proposed architecture, integration patterns, and technical solutions.
• Work closely with developers and engineers on complex or critical implementations and provide hands-on technical guidance when required.
• Create and maintain architecture documents, technical specifications, data models, integration diagrams, process flows, UML diagrams, and implementation guides.
• Ensure development teams follow established architecture standards, technology guidelines, security practices, and engineering best practices.
• Identify technical risks, gaps, dependencies, resource constraints, and technology limitations and communicate them to relevant stakeholders.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical and architectural solutions.
• Review functional and technical specifications to ensure solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture and existing application capabilities.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Software Engineering, Project Management, vendors, and business teams across multiple initiatives.
• Provide guidance on SDLC, Agile/SAFe practices, cloud adoption, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Support architecture reviews and help ensure solutions align with Azure Cloud Adoption Framework and Well-Architected Framework principles.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of application development experience.
• 5+ years of experience in Solution Architecture, Application Architecture, Cloud Architecture, Systems Integration Architecture, or related areas.
• Experience working within an Enterprise Architecture environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform.
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud architecture and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong software engineering background with proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#, Java, or JavaScript.
• Strong database/scripting knowledge with technologies such as T-SQL or PL/SQL.
• Experience with systems integration, APIs, cloud services, and enterprise application architecture.
• Experience creating technical architecture documentation, UML diagrams, process workflows, data models, and integration diagrams.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/SAFe, and software development practices.
• Experience with architecture and diagramming tools such as Visio, Visual Studio, or similar tools.
• Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Preferred

• TOGAF certification or practical knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
• Experience with Dynamics 365 Customer Insights/CDP.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Power BI, Application Insights, and Power Pages.
• Experience with Disaster Recovery and Long-Term Data Retention strategies.
• Experience with Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and solution segmentation.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale digital transformation initiatives.
