Senior Engineer, Full Stack

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Kforce Technology client in Orange County, CA is seeking a Senior Engineer, Full Stack for a fully onsite opportunity.

Summary

Join a team building scalable cloud-native applications and AI-powered solutions. This role focuses on developing microservices, APIs, and full-stack applications while driving performance, security, reliability, and automation.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop cloud-native, microservices-based applications
• Build and deploy solutions using Docker and Kubernetes
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and DevOps best practices
• Develop REST APIs and event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Enhance monitoring, logging, and observability with tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Collaborate in Agile teams and mentor engineers
• Support AI/ML initiatives including chatbots, AI agents, LLMs, and MLOps practices

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
• 10+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying cloud-native applications
• Strong programming experience in Python and experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar AI/ML frameworks
• Experience using AI tools for software development productivity, debugging, testing, and automation
• Expertise with one or more modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Rust, or similar
• Strong backend development experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience developing front-end applications with React, Angular, or Vue
• Experience designing scalable, highly resilient enterprise applications
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar event-driven technologies
• Deep understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, Zero Trust architecture, secrets management, and secure API design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Passion for innovation, continuous learning, and emerging AI technologies
• Ability to mentor and guide engineering teams

Technical Skills:

• RESTful APIs and GraphQL
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure Automation
• AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform
• Microservices architecture and cloud-native design patterns
• Event-driven architecture and real-time data processing
• Prometheus, Grafana, and observability platforms
• Agile software development methodologies

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ISO 27001, ISO 9001, or similar compliance frameworks
• Exposure to MLOps practices and AI model deployment
• Knowledge of NLP, computer vision, or generative AI technologies
• Understanding of AI ethics, data privacy, and healthcare compliance environments

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
