Senior Production Engineer

Senior Production Engineer Permanent Position Monday – Thursday 8am-4:45pm, Friday 1:30pm finish Competitive Salary, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays Bonus scheme, pension Whitchurch Our client are a leading manufacturer providing specialist solutions to a variety of industries such as aerospace, power generation, rail and oil and gas industries.

Job Summary:

To manage and direct other staff within the production engineering department to ensure projects set are being monitored through to completion.<br />To provide technical support and instructions to all Albright sites on test equipment, assembly jigs, fixtures and tooling.<br />To provide systems &amp; procedures to ensure products are produced to the required manufacturing standards.<br />To investigate, recommend &amp; implement process improvements across all Albright sites to ensure products are produced to the required standards.<br />To work closely &amp; support other Albright Production Engineering departments globally and to ensure site standardisation.<br />To maintain tooling &amp; jig registers for all equipment used in the assembly of Albright products - plus tooling used globally supplied via UK<br />To maintain work &amp; process procedures for product assembly and test.<br />Continual improvement of all process globally to ensure that products are built and tested as efficiently as possible using Lean principles.<br />Development &amp; implementation of specialised test equipment for manufacturing globally.<br />Duties / day to day Provide Production Engineering support to all production areas within the organisation.<br />Provide documentation &amp; reports that allow Producton to build and test products correctly<br />Give technical support on exsisting products &amp; the introduction of new products<br />Ensure all equipment is maintained and operates safely<br />Ensure that equipment in production is maintained &amp; seviced as required<br />Troubleshoot process and testing problems.<br />Assess component manufacture so as to ensure continual process improvements.<br />Diagnose test equipment faults and take remedial/corrective action as required.<br />Ensure that consumables are maintainedQualifications:

Recognised Qualification/Certificate in Electro/Mechanical Engineering - HND/HNC prefered<br />Good knowledge of H&amp;Safety within the workplace and safe use of equipment<br />3 - 5 years experience in a similar manufacturing environment and position.<br />Good practical knowledge of turning, milling, electrical wiring/fault finding electrical test equipment.<br />Computer / keyboarding Skills, along with competent use of Hand Tools and electrical test equipment.<br />Good eye for detail, and the ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.<br />The ability to communicate &amp; interact with staff at all levelsBenefits Working hours: 39 per week, 8:00 to 16:45 Monday to Thursday, 8:00 to 1:30pm on Friday<br />Company pension<br />Non-contractual profit-related-payment (bonus)<br />Potential for monthly attendance bonus of £1000 net
