Job Description

Business Analyst (Data Analytics)
Primary Location: Remote
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring a Business Analyst (Data Analytics) for our premier client Remote.
Education and Experience

Experience: 6-10+ years in business analysis, data analysis, or related roles (must operate at senior/lead level)

Knowledge and Skills
SQL Expertise:

Advanced SQL skills with experience querying large-scale data warehouses (e.g., Google BigQuery, Azure, etc.)

Power BI:

Hands-on experience building Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models

Data Analysis:

Strong ability to analyze, interpret, and validate complex datasets

Business Analysis:

Proven experience leading requirements gathering, discovery, and stakeholder engagement

Agile:

Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

AI/LLM Usage:

Required familiarity with leveraging LLM tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) in day-to-day workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
Seeking a highly experienced Business Analyst with strong data and analytics capabilities to join our Enterprise Data & Analytics team on a contract basis
must operate at a senior/lead level and be able to quickly ramp up, engage directly with business stakeholders, and deliver high-quality data-driven solutions with minimal oversight.
Business Engagement & Discovery

Partner directly with business stakeholders to understand goals, pain points, and root causes of problems
Lead discovery sessions, ask the right questions, and challenge assumptions to clarify true business needs

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
Translate requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done

Data Analysis & Validation

Write complex SQL queries to explore, analyze, and validate data across large enterprise data platforms (e.g., BigQuery)
Perform data profiling, validation, and root cause analysi

Analytics & Reporting (Power BI)

Design, build, and enhance Power BI dashboards, reports, semantic models, and datasets
Deliver KPIs, scorecards, and self-service datasets that drive actionable insights
Apply strong data visualization principles and best practices
Solution Delivery & Agile Execution
Act as a key contributor within an Agile (Scrum) team
Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and product partners to deliver end-to-end solutions
