Position Summary
we are seeking a U.S. Regional Sales Director to establish and grow our presence in the market. This is a hands-on, new-business-focused role for a driven sales leader who will initially take the lead in developing the U.S. market, building a strong pipeline, and managing the full sales cycle from initial outreach through contract close. While focused on developing the U.S. market, you will work closely with our Canadian-based leadership, Product, Marketing, and Implementation teams to support prospects throughout the sales process. As our U.S. presence grows, the role will evolve alongside the needs of the business. Leveraging your insurance and software sales experience, you will generate and nurture new business across our core client segments: carriers, mutual insurers, managing general agents (MGAs), and brokers with programs. You will act as a trusted advisor and product expert identifying opportunities, educating prospects on Modular Solutions value, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet each client s unique needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage prospective clients across the U.S. insurance market in our target segments (carriers, mutuals, managing general agents, and brokers with programs) through focused, strategic outreach and networking, helping establish Modular s presence and build an early pipeline in the United States.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers to foster trust, deepen engagement, and uncover future growth opportunities with current and potential clients.
- Manage the entire U.S. sales cycle from initial contact through to contract closure, maintaining a healthy and active pipeline of leads through diligent follow-up, qualification of prospects, and consistent engagement.
- Develop and execute outbound lead generation campaigns using CRM and market intelligence tools, as well as referrals and industry networks. Leverage data insights to refine targeting and improve outreach effectiveness, continually building a strong prospect list.
- Tailor your messaging and sales approach to resonate with each segment s unique challenges and needs.
- Conduct in-depth discovery calls and deliver customized product demonstrations that clearly align Modular s platform capabilities with the client s pain points and workflows.
- Clearly articulate the value proposition of Modular Solutions to C-level executives and other decision-makers. Position our platform as a strategic business solution that delivers tangible results and ROI for their organization.
- Work closely with internal teams including Product, Marketing, and Implementation to ensure prospects have a consistent and positive experience. Coordinate smooth transitions from sales to onboarding, and relay client feedback to help refine our offerings and strategy.
- Monitor and report on pipeline health, sales performance, and market trends to deliver accurate forecasts and share market insights that inform our broader go-to-market strategies.
- Own your sales targets and consistently aim to exceed them. Approach your goals with a performance-driven, goal-oriented mindset, and use creativity and persistence to overcome obstacles.
- Represent Modular Solutions at industry conferences, webinars, and events across the United States to actively promote our brand, generate leads, and establish a strong presence within the insurance community on behalf of the company.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of successful B2B software sales experience, preferably in the insurance technology (InsurTech) sector. A proven track record of generating and closing net-new business in a consultative sales environment, particularly in a new or developing market, is a must.
- Strong understanding of the U.S. insurance market, including carriers, mutual insurers, managing general agents, and brokers with programs.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal. You can confidently explain complex software solutions in clear and relatable terms.
- Proven ability to manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery calls through to negotiation and closing paired with expertise in consultative selling and adapting strategies to diverse client needs.
- A self-driven, proactive, and result-oriented attitude. You take ownership of your goals, are comfortable building opportunities from the ground up, and have the initiative to drive them forward independently.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. Comfortable adapting to change and seizing new opportunities in an evolving market.
- Quick learner who can quickly master a robust software platform and translate technical concepts into clear business value for clients.
- Experience working in a high-growth SaaS environment is a strong asset.
