Data Governance Analyst (Collibra Platform)

Position Summary

The Data Governance Analyst is responsible for the technical administration, configuration, and ongoing support of the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, with a primary focus on privacy, compliance, and Individual Rights use cases. This role partners with Data Governance, Privacy, Compliance, Security, and Application teams to maintain and enhance governance workflows, metadata management processes, lineage capabilities, and regulatory compliance solutions within Collibra.

The ideal candidate combines deep Collibra technical expertise with hands-on development experience and will serve as a key contributor to platform enhancements, workflow automation, API integrations, and operational support. The candidate will help ensure that data governance capabilities scale effectively while supporting regulatory obligations related to data subject rights and privacy management.

Key Responsibilities

API Integration & Development

1. Develop and maintain integrations using Collibra REST APIs.
2. Create Python-based automation solutions to support metadata management, lineage validation, compliance reporting, and operational support processes.
3. Support integrations between Collibra and enterprise platforms including data catalog, privacy, security, ETL, and reporting solutions.
4. Develop scripts and automation to improve metadata quality, governance efficiency, and platform adoption.
5. Assist with API design reviews and integration architecture recommendations.

Workflow Development & Automation

1. Design, develop, test, and maintain Collibra workflows using BPMN and Collibra workflow engine capabilities.
2. Implement governance workflows supporting stewardship, certification, approval, and compliance processes.
3. Develop automated solutions that reduce manual governance activities.
4. Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable workflow solutions.
5. Perform workflow testing, deployment, and release management.

Governance Operations Support

1. Support metadata ingestion, asset synchronization, and data lineage administration.
2. Assist with governance capability implementations.
3. Provide technical guidance and support to data stewards and governance stakeholders.

Individual Rights and Privacy Use Cases

1. Support governance processes associated with privacy regulations and Individual Rights obligations.
2. Configure and maintain metadata, workflows, and reporting capabilities supporting data subject request processes.
3. Collaborate with Privacy and Compliance teams to implement governance controls and process improvements.
4. Develop technical solutions that improve traceability, auditability, and compliance reporting.
5. Support impact assessments, data discovery activities, and audit requests related to Individual Rights operations.

Azure DevOps & Delivery Support

1. Utilize Azure DevOps for deployment activities.
2. Participate in Agile ceremonies and support solution delivery
3. Maintain technical user stories, tasks, documentation, and implementation plans.
4. Support CI/CD and deployment processes where applicable.

Required Qualifications

Education

1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.

Certifications

Required

1. Collibra Data Steward Certification
2. Collibra Workflow Engineer Certification

Preferred

1. Collibra Ranger Certification
2. Azure Fundamentals Certification
3. Scrum or Agile Certification

Experience

1. 3+ years of experience administering the Collibra platform in an enterprise environment.
2. 3+ years of experience developing and supporting Collibra workflows.
3. Demonstrated experience utilizing Collibra REST APIs for integration and automation.
4. Experience supporting privacy, compliance, regulatory, or data governance programs.
5. Experience working in Agile delivery environments using Azure DevOps.
6. Experience supporting enterprise metadata management, data catalog, data lineage, or governance implementations.
