If so, Opencast could be the place for you. We’re a growing tech consultancy that creates user-centred solutions with purpose for our clients in government and business.

The role

The role balances front-of-house responsibilities with administrative support and contributes to wider initiatives that make our workplaces engaging and inclusive.
This is a 6-month fixed term contract.

Essential experience

You don't need to have demonstrated all the experience, but good computer skills are essential.
In your CV and interview, please show how you have:
  • Act as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, creating a positive and professional first impression.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the Newcastle HQ, ensuring the workplace is clean, organised and well-equipped.
  • Carry out administrative tasks such as managing documents, coordinating suppliers, and supporting business operations processes.
  • Assist with the planning and delivery of events, including occasional evening cover.
  • Contribute to wider initiatives including STEM workshops, work experience placements, and cross-team collaborations with Marketing and Internal Communications.
  • Work closely with the wider Business Operations team to deliver seamless workplace and operational support.

Salary

Salary range: £27,000 - £34,000

What we offer

A competitive package including a 7% employer pension contribution, share options, and a discretionary bonus. You’ll also benefit from 25 days’ holiday and access to 3 annual “life happens” days to support unexpected situations.

Where you’ll work

Due to the nature of this role, you'll primarily be based full time at our HQ in Newcastle upon Tyne, with occasional travel between our hub locations as part of the role. Applicants should be able to travel when needed to support business activities and team collaboration.

We include you

We welcome candidates from all identities, attributes, ways of thinking and backgrounds to thrive in a career at Opencast. Our aim is for the diversity of our people to be reflected in the solutions we deliver, to help create a fairer society for all.
