Our team is dedicated to developing advanced RADAR payloads that support critical missions and enhance our capabilities in space. We seek a motivated and skilled technical leader to guide, validate, and improve the assembly, integration, and testing phases of our RADAR payload production program. We are seeking a Space RADAR Payload I&T (Integration and Test) Technical Advisor to solve complex technical problems during the AI&T (Assembly Integration & Test) process of our space-based RADAR payloads which are comprised of an Electronically Scanned Array (ESA) and Processing Subsystem.
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in RADAR I&T, technical leadership skills, and the ability to explain difficult technical concepts to program management and the I&T team and to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams to solve problems. This position is on-site in Linthicum, MD, but may be supported hybrid (sometimes remotely from home) depending on dynamic program needs Responsibilities include:
- Monitor and troubleshoot issues during AI&T, providing timely resolutions to unforeseen challenges
- Track progress and provide updates to management and stakeholders regarding test anomaly and test failure resolution
- Train, mentor, and guide team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
Basic Qualifications
- BS in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) with 14 years relevant experience, 12 years with MS, or 9 with a PhD
- Experience planning, executing, and analyzing integration and test campaigns, including near-field and compact antenna range activities for RADAR systems
- Experience integrating embedded firmware, flight software, and hardware to realize the radar system's operational modes and command/control interfaces
- No clearance required to start but must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering
- Space Integration and Test (I&T) experience at subsystem (e.g., RF panel, ESA, or processor), Payload, or Space Vehicle level
- Experience with ESA (Electronically Scanned Array)/Phased Array Antenna Integration, Test, and Calibration
- Experience designing and analyzing RF hardware for space-based RADAR payloads, from front-end components to beamforming and frequency conversion
- Active TS and/or SCI clearance #SpaceEngJobs
