Project Delivery Manager

Rate: 550 to 600 per day, Inside IR35
Contract: Until 31 March 2027
Location: London, Bristol or Manchester, predominantly remote with occasional travel to London

A government client is seeking an experienced Project Delivery Manager to support the delivery of a digital transformation programme.

Responsibilities of the role:

You will:

• Develop and maintain delivery plans, milestones and schedules.
• Coordinate activities across the Policy.AI team, including the User Researchers, Technical Business Analysts, Solution Designer and technical specialists.
• Work closely with the Head of GEA and Policy.AI to support delivery priorities, reporting and decision-making.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and actions across programme activities.
• Support governance, reporting and assurance requirements, including engagement with the AI PMO and DG groups.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement, workshops and cross-government collaboration activities.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Strong experience in project or programme delivery within a complex organisational environment.
• Experience developing and managing delivery plans, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including business analysts, user researchers, technical specialists and delivery partners.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and cross-organisational teams.
• Experience supporting governance, reporting and assurance activities.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Experience delivering digital, data, AI or transformation programmes.
• Experience working in or with UK government and navigating government governance processes.
• Familiarity with agile and iterative delivery approaches.
• Experience supporting cross-government or multi-stakeholder initiatives.
• Understanding of policy development and delivery within government.
