iO Associates & PRG Consulting are supporting a well-funded advanced engineering OEM on an urgent manufacturing-engineering requirement.

The team is looking for hands-on Manufacturing Engineers to support a focused hardware work package involving complex precision electro-mechanical parts. This is a short, high-impact assignment for people comfortable working close to the build, solving practical production issues and improving how complex hardware is manufactured at pace.

You will be:

  • Supporting the manufacturing and assembly of complex precision electro-mechanical hardware.
  • Resolving day-to-day build, process and quality issues directly with production, design and shop-floor teams.
  • Creating and improving work instructions, manufacturing processes, tooling requirements and build documentation.
  • Driving practical improvements to build quality, repeatability, flow and manufacturability.
  • Supporting fast-turn process changes as the hardware and production approach mature.
  • Keeping track of progress, updating internal documentation and improving processes as the work package develops.

You should have:

  • Proven Manufacturing Engineering experience within aerospace, automotive, robotics, advanced manufacturing or a similar complex hardware environment.
  • Experience supporting precision mechanical or electro-mechanical assemblies, ideally involving complex parts, high mix / low volume builds or NPI activity.
  • Strong practical understanding of assembly methods, tooling, work instructions, tolerancing and design-for-manufacture principles.
  • Working knowledge of Dassault Systmes 3DEXPERIENCE (3DX) is essential.
  • A practical, on-site mindset and availability to start from 31st August or 7th September.
