IT Support Specialist / Systems Administrator (Part Time)

Company Overview

Growing organization seeking an IT professional to provide hands-on technical support and assist with day-to-day systems administration activities. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with end users while gaining exposure to a broad range of technologies and IT initiatives.

Position Details

• Job Title: IT Support Specialist / Systems Administrator
• Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
• Location: Hybrid opportunity within the Lower Hudson Valley region
• Schedule: All 3 days on site per week
• Hours: Part-time, 24 hours per week
• Start Date: Immediate opening

Core Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to employees through a ticketing system, phone support, email requests, and walk-up assistance
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, printer, mobile device, and connectivity issues
• Create, modify, and maintain user accounts within Active Directory and Microsoft 365
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment provisioning and account setup
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and related peripherals
• Support device deployments, technology refresh initiatives, and office moves as needed
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and support procedures
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff or specialized support teams
• Maintain a high level of customer service while meeting ticket resolution goals
• Assist with various IT infrastructure and operational projects as assigned

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Help Desk, Desktop Support, or Technical Support roles
• Experience supporting both Level 1 and Level 2 end-user issues
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable providing both remote and in-person technical support
• Ability to deploy, configure, and troubleshoot desktop and laptop hardware

Experience with:

• Active Directory
• Microsoft 365 / Office 365
• Solid troubleshooting skills across Windows operating systems, hardware, software, and basic networking issues
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
