Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer to provide technical leadership and hands-on expertise in test automation using modern open-source tools and best practices. The ideal candidate will have experience building customized automation frameworks, testing Java and Python APIs, validating data pipelines, and supporting data movement using Kafka and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using open-source tools and technologies.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and automated regression suites for Java and Python applications and APIs.
• Perform API, web services, XML, SOAP, and SOAP UI testing.
• Develop and maintain Selenium automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid.
• Create BDD test scenarios, features, and step definitions using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Utilize JUnit and TestNG for test execution and validation.
• Develop and manage Maven targets to execute automated test suites.
• Configure and maintain automated regression testing through Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform data validation and testing for data movement, Kafka messaging, and big data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams to define test strategies and ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Participate in Scrum and Kanban ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, retrospectives, and demos.
• Provide technical guidance and collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business stakeholders to resolve quality issues.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in QA automation and test framework development.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python programming for test automation.
• Experience with Selenium WebDriver and Selenium Grid.
• Hands-on experience with JUnit and/or TestNG.
• Experience developing BDD automation scripts using Cucumber and Gherkin.
• Strong experience with Maven and Jenkins CI/CD integration.
• Experience in API and web services testing, including SOAP, XML, and SOAP UI.
• Knowledge of Kafka, data testing, data validation, and big data technologies.
• Experience with JavaScript-based technologies such as Node.js and Angular.js.
• Strong understanding of automated regression testing and test execution strategies.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
• Excellent communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building customized automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Knowledge of C++ or other programming languages used in test automation.
• Relevant certifications in programming, QA automation, or testing tools.
• Experience working with multifunctional Agile data delivery teams.
