Job Description

Role : Business/Process BA who have experience working on utility rate billing system implementation (on the business or IT side of the implementation).

Client Location: Oakland, CA (Remote 100%)

Domain & Tools: Utility billing systems preferred

Timeline & Duration: Immediate start for 9 months period.

Logistics:

  • Contract duration: Immediately to mid-June
  • 8am - 5pm Pacific Daylight Time

Project Background:

  • The Net Energy Programs team in Pricing Products is responsible for implementing the end-to-end rate product lifecycle for the Net Energy Metering and Net Billing tariffs. This includes policy, billing system implementation, and customer experience and change management with these tariffs.
  • This role in particular is seeking support on the billing system implementation for a phased roll out of the , a complex hourly export compensation rate being built in PG&E's Customer Care and Billing System (CC&B) and Oracle's Billing Cloud System (BCS).

Core responsibilities of the role include:

  • Oversight, responsibility, and ownership of three Net Billing Tariff (NBT) project phases: NBT Phase 2.2 for Non-Residential customers, Phase 3 for Load Aggregation customers, and 4 for Virtual customers.
  • Understanding of interdependencies between each phase of the NBT project.
  • Presenting complex problems and solutions to upper management in Pricing Products and Billing Operations.
  • Peer coaching and problem-solving support to 2 other Product managers leading the day-to-day activities for these projects.
  • Quality control for requirements, design, and test strategy.
  • Aligning with IT rate implementation processes, including the support of rolling out updated standards that will be formalized via complex problem solving.
  • Day to day operations include large meeting workload.

Skillset Required:

  • Rate product management experience or technical rate enrollment design experience.

Skillset Desired:

  • Technical rate enrollment design experience.
  • Previous experience working on CA Net Billing tariff or other IT rate projects.
  • Internal/historic knowledge of rate implementation processes.

Ability to effectively navigate high-stake meetings
