Our client is seeking a QMS Director in Pembroke Pines, FL
Role Description

We are seeking a high-impact QMS Manager with strong potential to evolve into a director-level leader. This is a hands-on, system-oriented role that will initially focus on execution while laying the foundation for team leadership and scalable quality processes.

Own and drive the Quality Management System (QMS) strategy and execution
Lead system/software-oriented quality initiatives across the organization
Establish and scale quality processes, with a strong focus on design controls
Build and manage a team of 4-5 quality professionals
Operate in a highly hands-on capacity (?80%) initially, transitioning over time to more strategic leadership
Partner cross-functionally (?20%) with engineering and other stakeholders
Work closely with Mirna and the engineering team to ensure alignment and execution
Skills & Requirements
QMS & Regulatory Expertise - Deep knowledge of quality systems, compliance, and industry standards
Design Control Mastery - Strong experience implementing and managing design control processes
Hands-On Execution - Ability to operate tactically and solve problems directly, especially in early-stage or evolving environments
Team Building & Leadership - Experience building, structuring, and leading high-performing teams
Cross-Functional Influence - Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively with engineering and leadership
8-10 years of experience
Industry experience in MedTech, Aerospace, or Automotive preferred (but not required)
Experience working in system / software-driven environments
Proven ability to build or scale teams from scratch
Demonstrated ownership mindset and ability to operate at a high level
Background with top-tier or high-performing environments (e.g., candidates with experience at companies like Google or similar caliber organizations are a plus)
Industry-Specific Standards: Deep technical knowledge or certification in one or more of the following:
Medical Device: ISO 13485 & FDA 21 CFR Part 820 (QSR).

Aerospace: AS9100.

Automotive: IATF 16949. ASQ Certification preferred (e.g., CQE, CQM, etc.)
Strong understanding of design controls and regulatory frameworks
Experience in process definition, optimization, and governance
Positive, solution-oriented personality is critical
Strong culture fit will be a key decision factor
Comfortable balancing execution with strategic thinking
Effective communicator who can collaborate across teams
