RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an OpenShift Engineer in Armonk, NY.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to support the installation, configuration, administration, and maintenance of enterprise Red Hat OpenShift environments hosted on Microsoft Azure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Red Hat OpenShift clusters on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO)
- Support the deployment, configuration, administration, and ongoing management of Company Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x environments running on Red Hat OpenShift
- Assist with configuring and validating Azure Cloud landing zones to ensure infrastructure readiness for OpenShift and MAS deployments
- Collaborate with cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure OpenShift and Azure environments meet enterprise standards
- Support cluster health, performance, availability, networking, storage, security, and access management
- Assist with OpenShift upgrades, patching, configuration changes, and troubleshooting of platform-related issues
- Support integration of MAS 9.x components with Azure infrastructure and enterprise services
- Troubleshoot issues across the OpenShift, Azure, and MAS technology stack and assist with root-cause analysis
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, configuration standards, and operational procedures
REQUIREMENTS:
- Hands-on experience administering Red Hat OpenShift in enterprise environments
- Experience with Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO) and Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Experience deploying and managing Company Maximo Application Suite (MAS) 9.x on OpenShift
- Experience validating cloud infrastructure and Azure landing zone readiness
- Experience with Linux/RHEL administration and enterprise infrastructure
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes/OpenShift architecture, networking, storage, security, and cluster administration
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across cloud, container, and platform environments
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across cloud, infrastructure, security, and application teams
Preferred:
- Red Hat OpenShift certification
- Experience with Azure networking, identity/access management, storage, and security
- Experience with OpenShift Operators, Helm, Ansible, and container technologies
- Prior experience supporting enterprise Maximo/MAS implementations
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
