JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: Business Intelligence Analyst / Data Analytics and Reporting Specialist

Work Mode: Remote

Location: Rancho Cordova, CA

Contract: 2 years, with one optional 1-year extension

Position Summary

My client is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst with experience in Power BI, SQL, data integration, dashboard development, enterprise reporting, and Agile metrics using tools such as Rally, ServiceNow, and GitHub.

Mandatory Minimum Qualifications

1. Minimum of five (5) years of experience in data analysis or with other qualitative analysis or engineering disciplines such as researcher, data engineer, or BI analyst. Minimum six (6) months of that experience developing business intelligence reports.

2. Possession of a bachelor’s degree in an IT-related or Engineering field.

3. Minimum of five (5) years of experience performing data integration and analytics, including collecting, validating, and consolidating data from multiple systems, analyzing ambiguous datasets to identify trends and insights, conducting statistical and variance analysis, and building or maintaining analytical data models.

4. Minimum of five (5) years of experience creating and maintaining interactive dashboards, charts, and visual reports using Power BI and Excel Power Pivot, with a demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, complete, and timely executive and operational reporting aligned with defined requirements.

5. Minimum of three (3) years of experience developing enterprise performance metrics including defining metric logic, data standards, and validation routines, and producing Agile sprint, PI, and portfolio-level reporting by integrating data from tools such as Rally and ServiceNow.

6. Minimum of three (3) years of experience maintaining reporting logic, data dictionaries, and process documentation.
