Safer Hand Solutions are working in partnership with a successful and growing business to recruit an IT Support Technician who can become the go-to IT person within the organisation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional who enjoys problem-solving, supporting colleagues, and making technology easy to understand for non-technical users. You'll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day IT function while helping the business maintain its cyber security and compliance standards.
The Role As the first point of contact for IT-related issues, you will provide first-line support across the business, ensuring systems, devices, and software are operating effectively. You will be responsible for setting up and configuring equipment, troubleshooting technical issues, and supporting users with a wide range of IT queries.
You'll also help maintain and develop the company's cyber security framework, supporting standards such as ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus.
Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-line IT support for hardware, software, and system issues
• Set up and configure laptops, mobile devices, and user accounts for new starters
• Troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day IT problems
• Manage IT equipment and maintain accurate asset records
• Support ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, and Cyber Essentials Plus compliance activities
• Work with external IT providers when required
• Deliver excellent support to colleagues across the business
• Educate users on IT systems and cyber security best practices
• Explain technical issues and solutions in a simple, user-friendly manner
• Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and technology

About You The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in an IT Support, IT Technician, or similar role
• Experience working with ISO27001, Cyber Essentials, or Cyber Essentials Plus
• Strong first-line support and troubleshooting skills
• Experience setting up and configuring IT equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• A proactive and customer-focused approach
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
