Pipefitter | Bridge of Weir, United Kingdom | On-site | £38,662 - £40,000

The Role

  • Fabricate and install pipework systems using various materials including copper, cuni, carbon steel, and stainless steel.
  • Utilise a range of hand tools and mechanical equipment for cutting, bending, and welding pipes.
  • Install utilities aboard ships, such as sinks, showers, and toilets.
  • Fit and assemble components, valves, and fittings according to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Collaborate with other trades to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Adhere strictly to safety regulations and company procedures.

What You'll Need

  • A Modern Apprenticeship or equivalent Trade Papers (SVQ3, City & Guilds, or similar qualification).
  • Proven experience in pipe manufacturing and installation within major projects.
  • Solid understanding of pipefitting methods, safe working practices, and trade-standard techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pipework diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Knowledge of SHE, COSHH, and risk assessment requirements, with consistent application on the job.
  • Previous experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar trade within an industrial or commercial setting.
