Senior Production & Continuous Improvement Engineer

Location: Barnsley
Salary: £49,000 - £54,000

Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a leading UK manufacturer to recruit a Senior Production & Continuous Improvement Engineer to join their established engineering team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to drive continuous improvement initiatives, optimise manufacturing processes and support operational efficiency within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead production engineering activities and continuous improvement projects.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques, including 5S, Six Sigma and Value Stream Mapping.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste and lower manufacturing costs.
• Support new product introductions, engineering changes and process improvements.
• Develop manufacturing documentation, BOMs, tooling and production layouts.
• Work closely with production, quality and engineering teams to resolve manufacturing challenges.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement across the business.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing experience.
• Strong background in Production or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Proven knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Experience managing projects and leading teams.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive, hands-on approach to driving improvements.
