Position Overview

Seeking a technically strong Project Manager to lead multiple hardware and electrical engineering projects supporting Caterpillar electronics products. This role is approximately 75% project management and 25% hands-on technical testing.

Projects include:

• Displays
• Clusters
• Gauges
• Sensors
• Controllers
• Electronic control modules

The individual will manage project schedules, stakeholder communications, supplier interactions, and cross-functional engineering teams while maintaining enough technical depth to support testing and engineering discussions.

Must-Haves

Technical Background

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 7+ years of experience
• Previous hands-on Hardware Engineering or Electrical Engineering experience

Experience with:

• Analog design
• Digital design
• Mixed-signal electronics
• Hardware development

Project Management

• Proven experience managing multiple engineering projects simultaneously
• Strong project scheduling and tracking experience
• Heavy use of Gantt Charts
• Experience managing project health, milestones, risks, timelines, and stakeholder updates

Communication

• Strong verbal and written communication
• Comfortable presenting updates to leadership and stakeholders
• Ability to coordinate Hardware, Software, and Mechanical Engineering teams

Testing

• Willing and able to perform hands-on testing when needed
• Comfortable working in engineering labs and supporting validation activities
