Senior SharePoint/BI Developer (Hybrid)
Our client, a leading Pacific Northwest utility provider committed to public service and environmental preservation, is looking for a Senior SharePoint/BI Developer for their Vancouver, Washington location.  In this role you will support the development and maintenance of the Access and Data Management Service Request System and supporting workflows, and support automation of other TF processes. The ideal candidate will have a depth of knowledge on data systems and how to configure them.  They would also be energetic and be able to collaborate with our teammates while working closely with customers to determine their requirement and suggest courses of action for solution.

Key Responsibilities for Senior SharePoint/BI Developer:

  • Identify Business & Data requirements and convert them into conceptual & logical data models.
  • Participate in design, development, and analysis of data architecture and warehousing approaches.
  • Create, monitor, modify and troubleshoot necessary ETL processes needed by the BI projects
  • Analyze data to ensure information is accurate and reconcilable to its source of origin.
  • Audits, reviews, and validates databases to ensure data integrity.
  • Verify proper change and version control for code and reports.
  • Identify, communicate, and resolve data quality and data reconciliation issues.
  • Develop and verify standards and procedures for the storage and retrieval of institutional data are met.  Alert the manager of any deviations or concerns.
  • Create and maintain the documentation for each business unit’s data model and ETL processes.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot existing BI applications, including frameworks, cubes, and reports and ensure the availability of the systems for the end-users.
  • Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity, security, and optimized performance at the application and database level.
  • Design, build, enhance, and maintain PowerBI and dashboards working from specification documents and/or direct interaction with business users.
  • Design and maintain SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) databases used in ad-hoc analytic research and automated reporting.
  • Write SQL Server queries and stored procedures to populate reporting datasets.
  • Decipher existing reports and database processes to assist users and owners in understanding reports.
  • Design SharePoint solutions from conception to implementation.
  • Develop SharePoint-based solutions from “user needs” in an Internet enabled application environment.
  • Distinguish key interactions and connectives among enterprise Internet enabled applications solutions.
  • Perform typical administrative and maintenance activities such as site creation, and permission management.
  • Administer general system monitoring and verification.
  • Act as a point-of-contact to troubleshoot SharePoint Services, sites and permissions, and other application and server issues.
  • Recommend and apply configuration settings to meet business needs and security requirements.
  • Create and administer enterprise search solutions using the SharePoint search capabilities.
  • Provide support for both IT and business users for SharePoint sites.
  • Create Word documents, InfoPath forms, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and Visio flowcharts to document the designed SharePoint solutions and design appropriate training presentations and curriculum.
  • Support existing business systems and their users.
  • Administer general system monitoring and verification.
  • Communicate with a wide variety of technical and business experts in both individual and group settings.
  • Provide formal training sessions to entry, mid, and advanced level users in both individual and small to large group settings.
  • Perform typical administrative and maintenance activities such as site creation, permission management, backup/restore.
  • Create and administer enterprise search solutions using the SharePoint search capabilities.
  • Provide support for both IT and business users for SharePoint sites.
  • Support existing ADM SharePoint sites and their users.

Requirements/Qualification for Senior SharePoint/BI Developer:

  • U.S. Citizenship and U.S. valid Driver’s License required.
  • Bachelor’s or Masters College Degree in computer science, information technology or a related technical field is highly preferred.
  • With an applicable Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, 10 years of experience in computer/information technology is required
  • Without an applicable Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, 14 years of experience in computer/information technology is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in an enterprise web environment with 5+ years supporting SharePoint technologies is required.
  • Experience reviewing datasets, graphs, and charts for data quality.
  • Experience with Power BI highly preferred.
