Sr Business Intelligence Analyst (Financial)

LaSalle Network is hiring for a Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst (Financial) to join a collaborative team in Chicago. This is a high-impact Business Intelligence role for an experienced analyst who can take an ambiguous business question, figure out what needs to be done, and drive the work from requirements gathering through analysis, data modeling and reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who enjoys solving complex problems, partnering with stakeholders and turning data into decisions. Healthcare experience is highly valued, and candidates with strong BI and analytics backgrounds outside of healthcare are encouraged to apply.

  Partner with business and technical teams to translate business questions into analytical requirements, KPIs and reporting solutions

  Analyze complex data sets across multiple sources using SQL and advanced Excel

  
  


• 
  

  Develop data models and enterprise dashboards using Tableau, Power BI or similar BI tools

  
  


• 
  

  Build, maintain and enhance reporting products for financial and operational needs

  
  


• 
  

  Validate, reconcile and QA data while applying established business rules and definitions

  
  


• 
  

  Identify gaps, problems and opportunities for process improvement and automation

  
  


• 
  

  Independently manage projects, priorities, timelines and deliverables

  
  


• 
  

  Present analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

  Mentor junior analysts and serve as a technical and analytical resource for the broader team

  
  

What's needed?

• 
  

  5+ years of experience in data analytics or Business Intelligence

  
  


• 
  

  Strong SQL and data modeling experience

  
  


• 
  

  Advanced Excel skills

  
  


• 
  

  Experience with Tableau, Power BI or another BI/visualization platform

  
  


• 
  

  Strong analytical, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

  
  


• 
  

  Ability to work independently and take initiative from objective to completion

  
  


• 
  

  Excellent written, verbal and stakeholder communication skills

  
  


• 
  

  Healthcare, financial, reimbursement, revenue cycle or clinical/operational data experience preferred

  Experience with data governance, automation or process improvement is a plus
