Manufacturing Engineer

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting a leading precision engineering business in the search for a Manufacturing Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established manufacturing operation, playing a key role in bridging the gap between Sales and Production to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and on time. The Role As Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing manufacturing documentation, technical drawings, and production packs required for the successful delivery of customer projects. You will work closely with both commercial and production teams to ensure all technical requirements are identified and communicated effectively. Key Responsibilities

• Review new contracts and capture information from sales estimates and production plans.
• Prepare detailed manufacturing packs for the shop floor, including ballooned drawings and feature lists.
• Create and amend 2D drawings and 3D models.
• Check incoming materials against customer specifications and resolve any discrepancies.
• Identify and resolve missing or conflicting dimensional and tolerance information.
• Support offline programming activities where required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on manufacturing efficiency and estimating accuracy.
• Act as a key link between Sales and Production departments. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Essential
• Previous experience programming and operating CNC machinery.
• The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience using CAD/CAM software.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards. Desirable
• Experience machining one-off fabrications, castings, or similar components.
• Inspection and measurement experience.
• A strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and engineering processes. What's On Offer?
