Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced SAP Finance Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of large-scale greenfield SAP S/4HANA implementations.
• This individual will serve as a strategic and hands-on finance architect responsible for blueprinting, solution design, configuration oversight, stakeholder management, and end-to-end implementation execution.
• The ideal candidate has successfully led multiple SAP Finance implementations from inception through go-live and possesses deep expertise across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and CO-PA (Profitability Analysis). Retail industry experience is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations from project initiation through deployment and hypercare.
• Facilitate business process workshops and blueprint sessions to define future-state finance processes and solution architecture.
• Translate business requirements into scalable SAP Finance solutions aligned with organizational objectives.
• Architect and oversee SAP Finance functionality across:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Fixed Assets
  • Financial Closing and Reporting
  • CO-PA (Profitability Analysis)
• Partner with business stakeholders to perform fit-gap analysis and establish implementation roadmaps.
• Drive solution design decisions and ensure alignment with finance, accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Provide hands-on guidance for SAP configuration and functional design activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams on integrations, data conversion, reporting, testing, and deployment strategies.
• Lead solution reviews, design governance, risk assessment, and issue resolution throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Mentor functional consultants and provide architectural leadership across the program.

Required Qualifications

• 10+ years of SAP Finance experience.
• Experience serving as an SAP Finance Architect, SAP FICO Architect, or SAP Solution Architect.
• Multiple successful greenfield SAP implementations completed from blueprint through go-live.
• Deep hands-on expertise in:
  • General Ledger (GL)
  • Accounts Payable (AP)
  • Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Financial Accounting (FI)
  • SAP Controlling (CO)
• Strong experience leading blueprinting, requirements gathering, and fit-gap workshops.
• Expertise in SAP S/4HANA Finance implementations.
• Experience creating solution architecture documents, business process designs, and implementation roadmaps.
• Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• SAP CO-PA (Profitability Analysis) expertise.
• Retail industry experience supporting merchandising, store operations, inventory valuation, profitability reporting, or multi-entity financial operations.
• Experience with SAP Finance reporting and analytics solutions.
• Experience integrating SAP Finance with procurement, supply chain, and retail systems.
• SAP certifications in S/4HANA Finance or related disciplines.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Has led multiple SAP S/4HANA Finance programs from initial blueprint through production deployment.
• Can confidently discuss detailed AR, AP, GL, and CO-PA configuration and business processes.
• Operates at both the executive strategy level and the hands-on functional design level.
• Brings a strong understanding of retail finance operations and profitability analysis.
