Quick Overview
Job Description
We are looking for a postdoc to study the role of mRNA modifications in animal development at the John Curtin School of Medical Research in Canberra, Australia. We are developing a Nanopore-based technique to detect RNA modifications in full-length mRNA. Using the fly model and biochemical approaches, we aim to determine the molecular function and the genetic requirement of mRNA modifications. We are looking for a highly motivated junior researcher with a phd (or expected to be awarded) in the relevant field. Experience with molecular biology and/or genetics in model organisms are favoured, but not required. We offer a two-years' position funded by Australian Research Council with an option to extend. Please contact or if interested.
