Job Description
Our American Family Insurance agency in Blue Springs is growing, and we're looking for a competitive, personable Insurance Sales Representative to join our team. This is a role for someone who genuinely likes people. You'll spend your day talking with families and business owners in the Blue Springs and Kansas City metro area, understanding what matters to them, and building insurance and financial plans that protect it. We handle auto, home, life, business, and umbrella coverage and we back you with one of the most recognized brands in the country.

You don't need to be an insurance veteran. If you've sold anything successfully, or if you've never sold but you're coachable, driven, and good at earning trust, we'll teach you the rest. We'll help you get licensed if you're not already, and you'll get hands-on training from day one. What we offer: a real base salary so you're not starving while you build, uncapped commission so your income tracks your effort, a Monday–Friday schedule, and a clear path toward more responsibility as the agency grows.

If you're looking for a job where you're rewarded for what you produce and you get to actually help people in your own community, we'd like to talk.

Develop new business through outbound calls, referrals, community networking, and warm leads provided by the agency
Meet with prospective clients in person, by phone, and by video to assess their coverage needs
Present and sell auto, home, life, umbrella, and commercial insurance products

Cross-sell and round out accounts with existing agency clients
Maintain a strong pipeline and hit weekly activity and production goals
Deliver excellent service that turns new clients into long-term clients and referral sources
Keep client records and activity current in the agency management system
Represent the agency well at local community and networking events
Requirements
Missouri Property Casualty license — or willingness to obtain within 60 days of hire (we will support you through the process)
Missouri Life Health license, or willingness to obtain (preferred)
Prior sales experience preferred; insurance experience is a plus but not required

Confident on the phone and comfortable asking for the business
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Basic computer proficiency (email, CRM, Microsoft Office)
High school diploma or equivalent required
