Job description

Project Lead / Manager – Engineering

Keighley | Competitive basic salary + profit share

Are you a project professional who brings structure, clear planning and momentum to complex projects?

We're looking for a hands-on Project Lead / Manager to coordinate engineering projects from concept through to production in a regulated environment.

This role centres on the fundamentals of good project management: defining scope, building realistic plans, coordinating resources, managing risks and keeping delivery on track. You'll work closely with technical teams, customers and suppliers, while supporting a team of three Project Engineers.

You don't need to be an engineer. You do need experience managing projects in an engineering, manufacturing or similarly regulated environment.

What you'll be doing
  • Developing and maintaining project plans, milestones and delivery schedules

  • Agreeing scope, responsibilities, priorities and deliverables

  • Coordinating resources and managing dependencies across teams

  • Tracking progress against timing, cost and quality requirements

  • Identifying risks and issues early, agreeing actions and escalating when needed

  • Managing changes to scope and assessing their impact on delivery

  • Keeping project documentation, action logs and status reporting clear and up to date

  • Ensuring required reviews, approvals and project gateways are completed

  • Building effective relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders

  • Coaching and supporting three Project Engineers to deliver consistently

What you'll bring
  • Project management experience within engineering, manufacturing or a regulated environment

  • Strong planning, organisation and follow-through

  • Experience managing schedules, risks, budgets and change

  • Confidence coordinating technical specialists and holding people accountable for agreed actions

  • Clear communication and effective stakeholder management

  • A practical, collaborative approach to solving problems and keeping projects moving

Desirable experience
  • Automotive, aerospace or other regulated manufacturing experience

  • Familiarity with structured project delivery frameworks, such as APQP

  • Experience working with Tier 1 suppliers or OEM customers

  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team

  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methods

Based in Keighley, within reach of Bradford, Leeds, Skipton, Halifax, Burnley, Bury and Colne.

We offer a competitive basic salary, profit share, pension and on-site parking.
