Summary:
Data Center Security Engineer with experience in physical security design, access management systems, and third-party risk oversight. Company is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Engineer to join our Data Center security team as an individual contributor. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the security and integrity of our rapidly scaling Data Center infrastructure and operations. The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in design and operations for both general data center operations and physical security. They should be capable of defining a clear mid-to-long term vision in this space based on strategic business priorities, driving and supporting cross-functional projects and programs, and influencing partners to prioritize and execute against critical security initiatives. The successful candidate should have deep knowledge and experience across many of the following core areas: setting physical security and network security strategy for critical infrastructure, physical security design, network security considerations in the physical environment, guard force operations, alarm response, incident response and management, process and procedure standardization and optimization, and business continuity.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $60.00 - $68.00 /hr. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages. Packages may include medical, dental, and vision benefits, health savings accounts with qualified medical plan enrollment, 10 paid days off, 3 days paid bereavement leave, 401(k) plan participation with employer match, life and disability insurance, commuter benefits, dependent care flexible spending account, accident insurance, critical illness insurance, hospital indemnity insurance, accommodations and reimbursement for work travel, and discretionary performance or recognition bonus. Sick leave and mobile phone reimbursement provided based on state or local law.

Job Responsibilities:
- Comply with legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Monitor, assess, and communicate regulatory changes and emerging compliance risks and trends to key partners and stakeholders.
- Assist business, Compliance, and other control function partners in responding to client escalations by conducting, compiling and presenting research as required.
- Remain current on emerging trends and developments, both within the local region and globally, affecting the regulatory environment
Qualifications:
- 4-8 years of experience in mission-critical infrastructure and physical security design, with MAX 10 years of experience.
- Knowledge across the physical security and risk management field.
- Physical or network experience is needed in TECH / DATA CENTRES: for example, data centres, manufacturing facilities that make AI components. The CWAMs prefer previous work experience in a company that is both technical AND physical rather than just a physical space.
- Experience securing high value, high risk items preferred.
- Expert in developing and administering security strategies and standards
- General understanding of incident response, business and operational continuity, and disaster recovery, along with security’s role in these processes
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical partners
- Experience identifying and communicating clear security requirements to inform and empower execution-focused teams and personnel
- Experience building relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders
- Master’s degree preferred
Good to have skills:
- General understanding of incident response, business and operational continuity, and disaster recovery, along with security’s role in these processes
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical partners
- Experience building relationships with cross-functional partners and business leaders
- CISSP Preferred If experience is mostly in physical security
- CIP/ CPP if candidate background is mostly in logical security
- Experience securing high value, high risk items preferred.
