Senior Mechanical Engineer | Waterlooville, United Kingdom | Hybrid | Circa £46,000

The Role

  • Deliver key Warship Technical Authority (WTA) service elements, including design change and obsolescence management.
  • Provide essential mechanical engineering support across diverse platform systems, critical equipment, and marine services.
  • Drive engineering input into multi-faceted projects, including complex platforms and international naval programs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to define and manage platform system requirements.
  • Conduct investigations, impact assessments, and integration analyses to support informed technical decisions.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient implementation of design changes while maintaining configuration control.

What You'll Need

  • Broad knowledge of complex platform systems within UK and international markets.
  • Strong understanding of applicable industry standards and governance frameworks (CSM, LCM).
  • Proven ability to rapidly apply mechanical engineering knowledge to various platform systems.
  • Experienced professional engineer at CEng level or equivalent capability.
  • Ability to provide effective technical guidance and influence, with experience in technical oversight.
